Know thyself.
—Socrates

The perception of truth brings its own action.
—Krishnamurti

No matter what point of truth or understanding you arrive at, there is always one beyond it.
—Idries Shah – Sufi

To see what you’ve done, look at your body.
To see what you’ll be, look at your actions.
—Jamgon Kongtul, The Great Path of Awakening

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret:
it is only with the heart that one can see rightly,
what is essential
is invisibile to the eye.
—Antoine de Saint Exupeny

You withdraw inwardly for guidance, for sustenance for nourishment, grace, light, for the process of growth. But then must open externally and share and touch the beings of the Earth.
—Sananda, Creating the Life You Want

It is the weak who are cruel.
Gentleness can only be expected from the strong.
—Leo Ralston

Cultivate a relationship to the Divine – it brings lessons of self-forgiveness as well as tolerance and respect for mistakes and imperfections in others. An awareness of the whole develops inner peace which replaces anxiety and worry.
—Karma Yoga

“We (God is speaking) have given you, Oh Adam, no visage proper to yourself, nor any endowment properly your own, in order that whatever place, whatever form, whatever gifts you may, with premeditation, select, these same you may have and possess through your own judgment and decision. The nature of all other creatures is defined and restricted within laws which We have laid down; you, by contrast, impeded by no such restrictions, may, by your own free will, to whose custody We have assigned you, trace for yourself the lineaments of your own nature. I have placed you at the very center of the world, so that from that vantage point you may with greater ease glance round about you on all that the world contains. We have made you a creature neither of heaven nor of earth, neither mortal nor immortal, in order that you may, as the free and proud shaper of your own being, fashion yourself in the form you may prefer. It will be in your power to descend to the lower, brutish forms of life; you will be able, through your own decision, to rise again to the superior orders whose life is Divine.”

The Mantram of the Disciple
I am a point of light within a greater Light.
I am a strand of loving energy within the stream of Love Divine.
I am a point of sacrificial Fire, focused within the fiery Will of God.
And thus I stand.
I am a way by which men may achieve.
I am a source of strength, enabling them to stand.
I am a beam of light shining upon their way.
And thus I stand.
And standing thus, revolve and tread this way the ways of men,
and know the ways of God.
And thus, I stand.
